The ISOFLEX Mattress is a cost-effective alternative to specialty beds, and it provides a proactive solution for preventing pressure ulcers. The mattress utilizes Isolibrium Pressure Management Technology to keep a patient's weight in "equal balance", which reduces the return force and shear that can cause or compound pressure ulcers. This pressure management approach yields clinical results comparable to specialty bed systems and superior to foam mattresses. The clinical effectiveness of the mattress is complemented by a non-powered design that requires minimal set-up time and effort, and minimum staff time to operate and maintain. There are no cords to trip over, monitors to read, or electric bills to pay. In addition, this non-powered design eliminates clinical worries resulting from power failures. Additionally, the mattress is designed to fit any standard healthcare bed.
