Medication Distribution and Management System

The Medstation System 2000/Rx System 2000 is an advanced point-of-use system that automates the distribution, management, and control of medications. The system provides a pharmacy link to individual patient medical profiles. Similar to ATMs, the system is easy to learn and use, and features an on-line tutorial and help system. The device is designed to provide access to controlled substances, PRN meds, and first doses. It interfaces to hospital ADT and billing systems, tracks inventory, increases productivity and accountability, and eliminates narcotic counts and keys. Additionally, the system is also designed to reduce diversion potential.

The system allows controlled access to 95% of all medications. It displays only pharmacy-approved orders for a selected patient, and interfaces to automated med charting systems. The system features a configurable station override feature by med, user, and patient, and also a configurable non-profile mode for ER, OR, and cath lab.
