Workflow Manager provides the tools and services to embed the business rules and to electronically monitor trigger events to initiate the actions. Workflow Manager consists of the following functional areas: Workflow Designer
Workflow Designer assists organizations in charting existing processes and subsequently identifying the desired process changes. The information resulting from using Workflow Designer will be used in building your business rules. Workflow Builder
Workflow Builder allows processes and business rules defined through Workflow Designer to be created for subsequent actions. Business rules can be triggered by three methods. First, a business rule can be triggered automatically by an electronic event. An electronic event may include a database change, an email, user action, and/or programmable event. Secondly, a business rule can be triggered by an electronic event, which subsequently prompts the user to take some action. The action could be to accept the business rule, which will initiate a series of tasks to be completed. The third possible method to trigger a business rule is directly from the user. Workflow Connect
Workflow Connect provides the tools to define the user views, access rights, and data base structures of your existing information systems. Workflow Engine
The Workflow Engine's role is to monitor the electronic events which automatically trigger specific organizationally defined actions. The functionality provided by Workflow Engine leverages the computer to monitor and act on repetitive tasks. Leveraging the computer for repetitive tasks substantially improves the productivity of existing staff so they can focus on the core business requirements.
