Online healthcare CE leader Care2Learn has joined forces with the AALTCN to develop four exclusive eLearning certification programs for LTC nurses. The online certifications will be accessible through a user-friendly online learning platform

Tampa, FL (Vocus/PRWEB) Care2Learn, Inc., the leader in online healthcare CE and compliance training for long-term care professionals, recently joined a select group of qualified educators affiliated with the AALTCN Learning Community to provide continuing education opportunities for long-term caregivers. AALTCN currently offers a highly popular series of printed certification programs for LTC nurses. Working together, Care2Learn will convert these successful programs into interactive and easy-to-use online programs.

AALTCN members as well as Care2Learn users will enjoy access to several multi-course certification programs built by Care2Learn's expert instructional designers and course developers. The first certificate program is expected to roll out late spring 2011, with the other programs following throughout the year. The certificate programs will include:

  • Director of Nursing in LTC: DON-CLTC™ (20 hours)
  • LPN in Long Term Care: LPN-CLTC™ (10 hours)
  • RN in Long Term Care: RN-CLTC™ (12 hours)
  • Nurse Assessment Program (TBD)

"At the heart of Care2Learn is a passion for providing the very best in healthcare continuing education, and the AALTCN shares that goal," says Ryan Sparks, General Manager and Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Care2Learn. "We are very excited to join the AALTCN Learning Community and extend Care2Learn's premier course content and services to the nation's largest network of caregivers. "With the input of long-term care nurses nationwide, AALTCN has developed highly respected certification programs that help to define the unique competencies and responsibilities of various LTC nursing positions and contribute to the advancement of LTC nursing practice," states AALTCN's Executive Director Charlotte Eliopoulos.
