Corporate Overview
Keane Care was formed in 2000 when Keane, Inc. acquired CARE Computer Systems. Keane is a leading IT services firm with clients that include Global 2000 corporations and government agencies. The company has six customer service offices throughout the country, serving over 4000 facilities in all 50 states.
Keane Care's top notch customer service department includes staff with backgrounds in nursing, therapy, medical records, billing, accounting, and computer sciences.
The company employs a large staff of product developers, programmers, testers, and technical writers to produce new software and keep existing programs in step with changing regulations and advancing technology.
History
CARE Computer Systems began in 1969 as a mail-in accounting service bureau for nursing facilities. A few landmarks: in 1979 CARE released VistaCARE®, an in-house clinical and accounting computer system. VistaCARE software was released for personal computers in 1981 and continues to be updated and enhanced to meet the changing needs and preferences of Long-Term Care providers.
Product Lines
VistaKEANE is a fully integrated system of windows-based financial and clinical software designed for the long-term care industry. Applications are available separately.
Clinical applications:
Resident Assessment (MDS 2.0: Imports medications, diagnoses, and therapy minutes. Exports MDS data for PPS billing, care planning, QIs, and the Cognitive Performance Scale.

Care Plan with three Quik Plan libraries: MDS, NANDA, Subacute.
