Basic American Medical Products is the Nations Largest Manufacturer of Long Term Care Beds and Furniture.

Basic American was established in 1976 as Omni Manufacturing to provide one stop shopping for owners and administrators of Nursing Homes. Prior to Omni's formation nursing home administrators spent countless days finding and procuring their furniture. Beds were sourced out from bed manufacturers, casegoods from furniture dealers, health care mattresses from a mattress factory and dining and lounge furniture from whatever sources could be found.

Identifying a true need the Founders decided to consolidate all Long Term Care furniture into true one stop shopping.

Over the following 24 years, OMNI has evolved into Basic American Medical Products and the company now features its own 130,000 square foot metal processing factory where raw bars of steel are cut, formed, pierced, welded, and even epoxy coated into acute care, sub acute and long term care beds and other products. All is done automatically with computer driven robotic machinery.

Basic's wood factory is a 50,000 square foot factory, which forms raw board into bedside cabinets, armoires, desks, dressers, chairs and wardrobes. Again, all are done systematically with computer driven saws, boring machines, routers and a state of the art finishing system.

Basic's showroom in the Atlanta, Georgia main office, is a 10,000 square foot phenomenon which features more than 15 bedroom vignettes. Customers may try out more than 50 different dining chairs or twenty styles of sofa, loveseat and lounge chair combinations. Truly one stop healthcare furniture shopping.
