Alternatives For Seniors Announces SeniorLiving Expo 2011: For Seniors, Families & Healthcare Professionals

The SeniorLiving and Services Expo 2011, presented by Alternatives for Seniors, announced today that exhibit space is filling up quickly. With a maximum booth capacity of about 85, exhibitors representated include financial services, home care agencies, senior apartments, independent living communities, medical equipment suppliers and nursing/rehabilitation centers. The free event will be held Saturday, April 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southfield Pavilion, located at 26000 Evergreen Road in Southfield.

New this year, there will be an expanded Health Services Area sponsored in part by Henry Ford Health Systems and Beaumont Hospitals. These services will include free health screenings, blood pressure and cholesterol checks to being able to speak with a medical professional specialist one-on-one, on topics ranging from diabetes to women's urology.

In addition to the exhibitors, preliminary topics of informational seminars and speakers presented throughout the day are Senior Living Overview, Alzheimer's – Understanding & Responding to People with Dementia, Elder Law Don't Go Broke in the Aging Process, Medicaid and Medicare Information, Veteran's Benefits Best Kept Secrets Explained, Home Care and Companion Services Explained and Long Term Care Insurance.
