Admissions & Census monitors a wide range of detailed information for each resident upon pre-admission or admission to your facility. This powerful application provides a detailed resident profile and census reporting for all demographic, clinical and financial information. Resident information is seamlessly integrated throughout the system eliminating duplicate or redundant data entry.

Resident Search & List
The PathLinks powerful search engine lets you review all available data in your database. The search screen provides a variety of choices for defining the criteria for your search. Once your criteria has been defined, you can list all residents applicable.

Admission Pop-Up
PathLinks uses pop-up lists to display field options. In Admissions & Census, you can display whether the unit/room/bed is in service and Medicare certified. In addition, you can note if the unit/room/bed are occupied on the admission date or effective date of a census change.

Quick Admit
You can eliminate delays in care on any shift or unit by using the Quick Admit option in PathLinks. The Quick Admit option lets you begin a resident assessment and care plan prior to completing data entry on all pertinent demographic and resident information stored in PathLinks.

Resident Information
Admissions & Census houses all resident demographic details necessary for your facility. Once resident details are entered, they are accessible to all applications in the PathLinks system. You can save data entry time by inputting the details once and making them available as necessary throughout the system.

Admit/Censu
Census changes for any effective date in the future or in the past can be made from the Admit/Census tab. If you make census changes with an effective date previous to any census activity a resident has, PathLinks will ask you if you should carry details to retroactive changes. The 5.12 RUGs groupers for Medicare PPS, assessment reference date and HIPPs code are updated on this section from the MDS locked assessment data.

Diagnosis Information
Diagnosis details are tracked and retained in history by classification including admit, post admit, history, discharge. We include an ICD-9-CM listing with the Admissions & Census applications. Yearly updates are provided to this listing.

Census Certification Summary Report
The Census Certification report breaks down certified versus non certified beds within your facility. It also notes the occupancy percentage by primary payor for each section.

Unit/Room/Bed Setup
As you collect data, Admissions & Census retains a complete bed history for your facility. Bed rates are maintained both daily and monthly. Certified bed tracking helps you prevent the admission of a Medicare resident in a non-certified bed and a non-Medicare resident in a certified bed.

Room and Board
Room and board are based off of the billing method selected. Admissions & Census displays the pertinent information for room and board, bed hold and the contract rates being reimbursed for a specific payor. The system will track complete rate history. Retro billing will look at your historical data, take into account the rate change and is smart enough to pick up the correct information. It is also set up to handle the blended rates changing under the PPS system.

Payer Information
Admissions & Census handles the business rules and payor coverage for an individual payor or group of payors for your residents. You can set up all payor details for Medicare, Medicaid, private pay and third party payors taking into account the unique business rules and coverage options for each.
