Several new options are available for Acuity patient monitoring systems supporting software version 4.03 or higher. The new options, including a color laser printer, a color flat panel display, and the capability to network the company's QuikSigns spot-check patient monitor, significantly expand the company's Flexible Monitoring capabilities.

The color laser printer supports domestic and international standard letter paper sizes and can be configured to print two-sided documents. Enhanced printing capabilities include a new print summary feature offering up to 96 hours of patient data for tabular, graphical and snapshot printouts.

The color flat panel display provides a viewable area measuring 18.1 inches with crisp, distortion-free rich colors. The display also provides a 160° viewing angle with 1,280 x 1,024 resolution.

The QuikSigns monitor has been enhanced to provide networking capability. It can network to either the Acuity system or hospital-based nurse call systems. In addition to providing noninvasive blood pressure, pulse oximetry and 4-second SureTemp temperature readings, the monitor offers axillary temperature capability and an improved human interface. It is designed for routine and spot-check gathering of patient vital signs in a variety of hospital and outpatient care settings.
