This family of multi-parameter telemetry products was designed to directly respond to trends in sub-acute patient monitoring. The Apex S ECG transmitter is small and lightweight, and provides continuous ECG monitoring for ambulatory patients. The transmitter can be configured for multi-lead or single lead use and will accept either a 5-leadwire or 3-leadwire Multilink leadwire set. The SmartLead feature automatically switches from a failed lead to an intact lead, providing continuous arrhythmia monitoring without requiring a relearn of the patient's waveform.

The Apex Oximeter provides continuous monitoring of pulse oximetry values and pulse rates. When interfaced with the Apex S, this information can be viewed at the central station along with current ECG monitoring. It is also equipped with an LED display to accommodate point-of-care assessment of pulse rate and saturation level. The oximeter uses low power technology, which extends the battery life to 60 hrs for typical usage.

The SunTech Accutracker DX provides non-invasive blood pressure monitoring. When interfaced to the Apex S transmitter, the systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate values are distributed for central display and alarm. The Impact alarm notification system displays ECG waveforms and alarm information on a 20-mm thick handheld pager.

All the multi-parameter products work with the Prism suite of network products and applications, which are designed to increase caregivers' efficiency. As client server PC-based systems operating under Windows NT, Prism products were developed to speed decision making and enhance patient care by providing clinicians with the information they need at a variety of locations, without cluttering those locations with redundant hardware.
