Bariatric Therapy System

Bariatric Therapy System
The BariAir Therapy System is a risk management bed designed to help care for large patients
The BariAir Therapy System is a risk management bed designed to help care for large patients. It is specifically designed to help reduce the risk of injury by providing a safer environment for the patient and the caregiver during patient handling and transferring. For clinicians caring for large patients weighing from 300–850 lbs, the risk of occupational injury can become 5 to 17 times greater.

The system's Pulsating Air Suspension Therapy aids in the increase of capillary blood flow, while percussion therapy helps loosen pulmonary secretions. Pressure relief therapy is designed to help prevent skin breakdown by maintaining interface pressure below capillary closing pressure. Low air-loss therapy with Gore-Tex fabric helps prevent heat and moisture build-up on the patient's skin that can lead to skin breakdown. The fabric is vapor- and air-permeable, waterproof, and has a bacterial barrier and a smooth fabric laminate that helps reduce friction and shearing of patients' skin.
