The Calypso is Arjo's economy lift hygiene chair that has been developed to prevent back injuries to nursing staff due to lifting or manual handling of individuals. With the Calypso, one caregiver can safely and comfortably transfer a dependent individual who is able to sit upright, directly from bed to bath, shower or toilet and back again without any manual lifting or extra transfers. A removable and rechargeable battery assures the lift is always available for use. An optional electronic scale facilitates the weighing of patients. The Calypso integrates with all of Arjo's fixed height and adjustable baths and comes with a five-year rust protection guarantee.
